Prize Mining Receives Permit for Drilling Program on the Toughnut Property, Commences Drilling and Announces $1.15 Million Flow Through Financing

CALGARY, Nov. 28, 2017 /CNW/ - PRIZE MINING CORPORATION ("Prize" or the "Company") (TSXV:PRZ) (OTCQB:PRZFF) (MQSP:GR:FRANKFURT) is pleased to announce it was issued a Mines Act Permit from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Petroleum Resources of BC authorizing mineral exploration activities, including a drilling program, on its Toughnut Property.

Drill crew mobilization was initiated last week, and drilling has commenced on the first of four high-priority targets. A total of 1,700 metres of diamond drilling on 7 drill pads is being planned. This program is expected to be completed by December 15th, 2017.

Feisal Somji, Chief Executive Officer of Prize commented: "We are excited to end the year with this much-anticipated drilling program on the Toughnut Property. New targets identified through our summer exploration campaign and known mineralized intercepts from previous drilling will be tested during this program. With the drilling permit in hand for the Toughnut Property, we will finish the year both drilling and looking forward to our results from the recently completed drilling program on our contiguous Daylight Property."

The four high-priority targets were generated using a combination of ground magnetic survey, soil/rock sampling from our summer exploration program and historical data.

The location of a rock sample from the Gold Eagle showing within the Toughnut Property, taken during the summer 2017 program that assayed at 2.8 g/t Au will be tested as a high priority target.  The location of historical drill hole VTN11-010 will also be tested.  This hole returned 1.22g/t Au and 2.71 g/t Ag over 29.72 metres and included a higher-grade zone of 4.4g/t and 6.1g/t Ag over 2 metres (2011 Diamond Drilling Assessment Report on the Toughnut Property).  A soil anomaly from the Company's summer program that returned 8,000 ppb Au (8 g/t Au), with several corroborating samples taken in the summer 2017 exploration program that returned assay values of in the range 200 ppb Au, will also be tested as a high priority target.

Lucky Drilling Ltd. of Castlegar, BC is engaged for both snow removal activities and drilling operations.

$1.15 Million Private Placement

Prize also announces that it intends to complete a non-brokered flow-through private placement financing for proceeds of up to $1.15-million. The private placement will consist of the sale of up to 2,300,000 units at the price of $0.50 per unit. Each unit will consist of one common share issued on a flow-through basis for the purposes of the Income Tax Act (Canada) and one-half common share purchase warrant. Each full warrant will entitle the holder to purchase one common share at a price of $0.65 per common share for a period of 24 months from the closing date of the private placement.

The proceeds of the private placement will be used by Prize to continue its drilling program on both the Daylight and Toughnut Properties in 2018.

Prize intends to close the private placement on or about December 5th, 2017. Prize may pay finder's fees consisting of cash and/or securities in connection with the private placement.  The completion of the private placement is subject to Prize receiving all necessary regulatory approvals, including approval from the TSX Venture Exchange.

What clinched this year's Car of the Year winner with MOTOR TREND judges was the sheer joy that the Alfa Romeo Giulia puts back into driving. Alfa understands the nuance that sport sedan drivers desire, with a racy engine response and dynamic handling without a rough ride. The Giulia's 2.0-liter turbo-four engine demonstrates notable power with its stunning-yet-tractable 280 horsepower and 306 lb-ft of torque.

The judges' evaluation of the $38,990 base Alfa Romeo Giulia convinced them of the car's overall prestige. Alfa succeeded in making a blazingly fast performance sedan, while delivering luxurious touches in the base-model version—an accomplishment many car manufacturers are unable to achieve. The Giulia range is topped by the 505-horsepower Quadrifoglio edition, which is, as one judge notes, "the best pure sports sedan you can buy today."

2018 MOTOR TREND Truck of the Year Winner: Ford F-150
Out of this year's three impressive finalists tested at Fiat Chrysler Automobiles' Arizona Proving Grounds, the MOTOR TREND judges named the Ford F-150 MOTOR TREND's 2018 Truck of the Year winner.

For 2018 Truck of the Year testing, Ford provided four variants to show the breadth of the changes made under the hood. The significant updates made to the F-150 have resulted in the interiors becoming more premium, the infotainment system more intuitive, and the steering more responsive. With these new powertrains, the F-150's lighter, military-grade, aluminum alloy body delivers strong fuel economy for a full-size truck. Ford ultimately proved its superiority compared to competitors by producing an impressive range of midcycle changes, including significant ride and handling improvements.

2018 MOTOR TREND SUV of the Year Winner: Honda CR-V 
Honda SUVs are no strangers to MOTOR TREND's of the Year awards. In the 20-year history of the award, this is the second time the Honda CR-V has won a Golden Calipers for the MOTOR TREND SUV of the Year.

Thorough testing at Honda's recently renovated proving ground near Mojave, California, showed that CR-V Touring is by far the best entry in the industry's most competitive segment. A new engine and transmission delivers strong performance to a budget-minded family—by getting to 60 mph 0.8 second quicker than the previous model and also being about 8 percent more fuel efficient around town. In addition, the cabin is supremely functional, with prodigious storage space in a small footprint. The CR-V's rear doors open wide, ensuring easy access to the spacious rear seats. Judges agreed that with prices ranging from just under $25,000 for the LX to $34,735 for the Touring AWD model, the value of Honda's CR-V is highly competitive.

Madhavbaug Supports AHA's New Guidelines for High BP Levels

MUMBAI, November 24, 2017 /PRNewswire/ --

The American Heart Association (AHA) has revised its guideline for high blood pressure from 140/90 to 130/80. This new standard is based largely on the findings of the SPRINT (Systolic Blood Pressure Intervention Trial) study. The trial included data from over 9,000 participants and focused on determining if a BP target of 120 or less results in superior health benefits as compared to current standards. The results of the study were largely positive - they showed that maintaining BP levels of 120 or less reduced high blood pressure complications by 25% and risk of death by 27%. Since the study provided important evidence on the effectiveness of lowering BP levels to below the current acceptable levels, the AHA revised its high blood pressure standard to 130/80. 

The AHA's revision in BP guidelines could theoretically reduce cardiovascular diseases and offer health benefits to the community but it is also important to understand the limitations and flaws of this trial.

1. The subjects enrolled in the trial were already hypertensive and were on some antihypertensive treatments. So, are these new guidelines for non-hypertensive people or for existing hypertensive people in the community? 

2. Wherein in a nation like India, diabetes and hypertension go hand-in-hand, the subjects enrolled in the SPRINT trial were non-diabetic. Hence, do these guidelines benefit a diabetic individual or not? 

3. The conclusion of the SPRINT trial clearly states that in spite of intensive control of blood pressure, it has not reduced the incidence of heart attack and stroke or kidney diseases. Statistical significance for the same was not achieved.

The silver lining here is that this revision in BP guidelines could serve as an early warning system. The vast majority of the Indian population only make changes once they are diagnosed with high blood pressure. High blood pressure poses a serious health risk as it is the largest risk factor for heart disease. Hypertension is referred to as a 'silent killer' since most people with the condition do not experience any noticeable symptoms. If we accept the AHA's revision, it means that people whose blood pressure levels are elevated but not yet high will be able to make lifestyle changes to reduce their risk of high blood pressure. Lifestyle modifications, including body weight control, dietary changes, stress management, and adequate physical activity give hypertensive individuals a significant amount of control over their condition. These lifestyle modifications play an important role in the management of stage 1 and even stage 2 hypertension. For instance, it has been proven that weight loss of 1 kg reduces BP by 1 mm of Hg. 

As per a survey of 30,000 individuals carried out in Maharashtra by the Madhavbaug Institute of Preventive Cardiology; about 41% of senior citizens were found to be hypertensive.
