New dollar backed currency USC -- combining stability with security and efficiency

A much-needed app is entering the blockchain world to meet the demands of millions of people around the world. It offers cheaper, safer and real-time cross-border transfers.

BEIJINGNov. 17, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Recently, blockchain company Coinfix revealed its US dollar backed digital currency called USC, based on smart contract issuance. Unlike Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies, it has a 1:1 exchange for the dollar.

Coinfix is a project aimed at creating stable digital assets. It is based on the blockchain network of Achain, and is dedicated to helping global users solve the problem of convenient circulation of valuable assets.

Based on the distribution experience of USC, Coinfix will consider issuing more digital currencies with a 1:1 exchange for legal tenders. The problems of USDT and USC's strategic decentralization mechanism

USC uses Hong Kong's Linked Exchange Rate System as a reference and uses legal tender-U.S. dollar as a reserve. USC is issued in strict accordance with the amount of USD held in reserve on the blockchain network of Achain. USC holders can convert back to US dollars for the same rate. When USCis redeemed, the recovered currency is destroyed to keep the 1:1 ratio with reserves.

To ensure a digital currency has sufficient reserve, Kevin Yu, founder of USC, said that decentralization issuance mechanism is the key to ensure a currency is backed by accountability. USC is based on smart contract and it has three strategies to avoid the risk of over-issue.

First, USC uses decentralized issuance mechanism through smart contract. The USC issuance center does not have the right to directly issue new USC and every USC is issued only after obtaining approval from more than 50% of USC examining and approving clerks.

Second, USC account application and audit are also being modified through blockchain voting, to maximize the transparency and decentralization of blockchain, to prevent any risks of mischief.

Third, bank accounts of USC are audited by independent accounting firms. If it does not meet auditing standards, new USC cannot be issued. Accountability is thus bolstered by transparency.

Laying the foundation for a modernized global payment system

Kevin Yu, founder of USC, said: "Our innovative technology makes cross-border remittances as easy as sending e-mails." USC will enable users anywhere in the world to make instant transfers within 30 seconds. Transaction charges are as low as 0.01ACT, which is around USD 0.005.

Connecting with the Achain platform is a major advantage of USC. This smart contract network provides a transactional efficiency of 1000TPS (TPS: transaction capacity per second). Moreover, Achain-based USC will remain completely unaffected by the price of ACT, charging users a small amount of GAS, and costing less.

Digital currency prices have soared this year. While this may partly be the result of a price bubble, undoubtedly the underlying blockchain technology contains disruptive forces. There is a need for applications that not just leverage the strengths of blockchain technology, but also learn from the shortcomings of previous platforms. Three Ways to Avoid a Trip to the ER This Thanksgiving

Follow food safety guidelines. For many people, the most important part of Thanksgiving is a big meal surrounded by friends and loved ones. Mishandling raw meat or other ingredients could transmit harmful bacteria or lead to some very unpleasant stomach pains.

Wash your hands thoroughly when handling uncooked meat and keep it separate from other foods. Be sure to sanitize any surface that touches raw food. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that oven temperatures should be no lower than 325 degrees.

If you have allergies and you did not cook the meal yourself, remember to ask about the ingredients and how food was prepared. And, don't forget to refrigerate all leftovers within 2 hours. Pace yourself when a big meal is involved, whether you are preparing, eating or cleaning up afterward. The R&S QPS 200 from Rohde & Schwarz is the first new people screening system to be certified by the TSA for use at US and international aviation and other security checkpoints. 

Rohde & Schwarz, a world leader in manufacturing test and measurement, communications, and broadcast and media equipment, announced today that its R&S QPS200 millimeter wave technology has achieved TSA Advanced Imaging Technology (AIT) detection certification. TSA certification validates that the R&S QPS200 meets TSA's stringent aviation security detection requirements.

The R&S QPS200 security scanner uses safe millimeter wave radio frequency technology to screen passengers automatically for concealed threats while protecting passengers' privacy. The QPS system requires only a few milliseconds to scan passengers, which can speed checkpoint-screening operations and increase through-put. Privacy is protected by the use of a generic outline of a person to indicate to operators the location of an alarm. Scanning is easy as individuals simply stand in front of the technology with their arms held slightly away from the body and the system automatically detects potentially dangerous objects on the body.
